Cheddar Biscuits- A great little biscuit that goes with any dish you are serving. They are also great all by themselves!
These snappy biscuits are my go-to when we are craving biscuits. A few ingredients is all you need and they are totally versatile.
Ingredients Needed
- Biscuit mix
- Milk
- Oil
- Butter
- Cheddar cheese
Baking Mix?
Look for Bisquick, Jiffy Mix or a brand equivalent. You don't want a biscuit mix, you want a baking mix. With a baking mix, you can also probably make pancakes or waffles with it too. If you don't want to make the purchase, you can also make Homemade Bisquick.
These are Super Versatile! Here are a Few Ideas:
- Add a few teaspoons of seasoning to your dough. For example, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, rosemary or everything bagel.
- Instead of cheddar, switch up your cheese! Go with Swiss, Gruyere or Colby Jack. You can also omit the cheese all together.
- Make them sweet! Brush tops with honey instead of butter. After brushing tops with butter, sprinkle tops with a little cinnamon sugar.
- Instead of regular milk, use buttermilk!
Amount of Biscuits
I like to make 6 large biscuits with this recipe. However, you can make smaller biscuits (9 biscuits) instead. Your baking time may differ, but, not by much. Be sure you remove them from the oven once they are brown.

This does look amazing and easy enough to give it a try
