Three Ingredient Biscuits-Soft biscuits that only require three ingredients! They are delicious, quick to make and super versatile.
These biscuits are a snap to make and go well with just about anything you are serving. Dress them up or leave them plain...they are delicious no matter what.
What Are The Three Ingredients?
- Butter
- Sour cream
- Self rising flour
Recipe Notes:
- Sour Cream: You can use any type of sour cream ( low fat, fat free, etc). Plain Greek yogurt is also a great alternative to sour cream.
- Butter: Salted, unsalted, margarine or plant based will all work with these biscuits. Just make sure it's softened beforehand.
- Self Rising Flour: If don't have any in your kitchen and don't want to go out and buy it, you can use AP flour as an alternative. However, you will have to add a few additional ingredients. To use regular all purpose flour, add a 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 3 teaspoons or baking powder to the recipe.
- As previously mentioned, these biscuits are super versatile. You can add your own dried spices to them ( savory or sweet), add some cheese to the mix or even, mini chocolate chips. Whatever you wish!
- The below recipe is for drop biscuits. However, you can use this dough to make muffins instead. Make the dough as directed and grease a 12 count muffin pan ( or use cupcake liners). Bake them at 400 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until they are brown.
