Prep: 45 mins Cook: 20 mins Yield: 4 servings

Seasoned, creamy chicken tucked into a buttery crescent and breaded with crunchy breadcrumbs..  Finish it off with your favorite chicken gravy or alfredo sauce and make it your new favorite family dinner

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or finely diced
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 TBSP butter, softened
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley or dried chives
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Chicken Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the 2 cups of cooked chicken, 4 oz of softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of softened butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley (or chives). Mix thoroughly until completely smooth and combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Prepare the Assembly Station: Place your melted butter in one shallow bowl and the breadcrumbs in a second shallow bowl next to it.
  4. Assemble the Pillows: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 rectangles (each rectangle will be made of two triangles pressed tightly together along the perforated diagonal seam). Spoon a quarter of the chicken mixture into the center of each dough rectangle.
  5. Seal the Bundles: Pull the corners of the dough up and over the chicken filling. Pinch all the edges firmly together to seal completely so none of the creamy filling escapes during baking.
  6. Coat the Pillows: Carefully dip each sealed chicken bundle into the melted butter, coating all sides, then roll it gently in the breadcrumbs until completely covered. Place the bundles on your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crescent crust is beautifully puffed and a deep golden brown. Serve warm!
