Whipped Shortbread Cookies-Buttery cookies that are melt in your mouth delicious! Only 4 main ingredients are needed and they can be decorated anyway you wish.
Just a heads up...you may eat large quantities of these amazing cookies. 🖒
You have been warned!
Ingredients Needed
- Butter
- Flour
- Powdered sugar
- Cornstarch
Additional Products I Used:
Your basic cookie is just 4 ingredients and are delicious. However, you can switch up this recipe anyway you wish and make them your own.
A Few Ideas for Switching Things Up:
- Add a few teaspoons of vanilla extract.
- Replace the vanilla flavor/extract with our favorite flavor. For example, lemon flavoring, orange flavoring or almond extract.
- Dye the dough in different colors.
- Top with sprinkles ( do this before baking) or roll the dough in sprinkles before baking.
- Melt chocolate chips and coat half your cookie into the melted chocolate. You can also use the melted chocolate to add a chocolate drizzle on top.
- Sprinkle tops with coarse sugar (see above for the lavender option I used!)
Storage: Keep any leftover cookies in a covered container. They are best eaten in a week.
