Garlic Alfredo Orzo with Kielbasa- Creamy Alfredo sauce made with garlic, Parmesan cheese and mixed with kielbasa sausage. It's all tossed together with Orzo pasta for a flavorful and quick meal.
This dish looks a bit ugly, but, is really delicious. It can also be on your dinner table in less than an hour!
Ingredients Needed
What is Orzo?
Orzo is a type of pasta. The "noodles" are about the size of a rice grain. It can be found in the pasta section of your grocery store. If you can't find any, check out the above link.
Kielbasa?
This is a type of rope sausage. This can be found in the precooked meat section of your grocery store. Ours is right near the hot dogs/deli meat. It comes in many different brands and flavors. We usually go with a turkey kielbasa. It's less fat. However, there is also pork and beef kielbasa that you can choose from. Go with your favorite, but, just be sure it's already cooked.
Storage
Keep any leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator. It's best eaten within a week.

Ingredients
- 1 cup dry orzo
- 1 lb turkey kielbasa
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 3/4 cup grated or shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 -2 tsp minced garlic
- oil, for pan
Instructions
- Prepare the orzo as directed on the package instructions. Drain well and set aside.
- Slice kielbasa into coin sized pieces.
- In a skillet, add a bit of oil. Then, add in garlic and kielbasa slices. Cook it until the kielbasa is browned around the edges.
- Pour the whipping cream directly into the skillet, stirring gently to combine with the sausage and garlic. Increase the heat slightly to bring the cream to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the cream begins to thicken.
