Baked Carrot Cake Donuts- Baked donuts that start with a cake mix and are topped with a cream cheese glaze. Quick and delicious!
Did you know that you can make donuts from a cake mix?!
Yep, you can. It's super easy and takes just 4 ingredients! 🤯
Ingredients Needed
- Carrot cake mix
- Egg whites
- Milk
- Plain Greek yogurt
Recipe Notes
- Cake Mix: Yes, this recipe will work with any flavor cake mix. It simply needs to be a standard size box. Figure anything between 15 to 18 oz.
- Frosting: Of course, you can also use any flavor frosting too. I like to microwave it for anywhere from 20-30 seconds to thin it out. Then, I dip the tops of the donuts right into the frosting. Now, you don't have to do it in this manner. You can simply frost them with the frosting right out of the package or make your own.
- Important- -if you are going to microwave your frosting, be sure to transfer the frosting to a microwave safe bowl first. If you wish to microwave the whole container of frosting (you can), make sure to remove the foil seal first! Foil + Microwave= bad stuff can happen
- This recipe will make about 18 regular size donuts. Need a donut pan? Find one to purchase in the recipe card or simply click here.
- This recipe will also work for a mini donut pan.
