Easy French Toast- Traditional French toast that is great for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Serve it with your favorite syrup, plain, with a dusting of powdered sugar or fruit.
Ingredients Needed
- Bread
- Eggs
- Whipping cream
- Ground cinnamon
- Vanilla
- Butter
Recipe Notes
- I recommend using thick bread for french toast. A brioche or Texas toast are great options. Now, you can use any type of bread for it. However, the thicker bread will do a better job at absorbing the milk/egg mixture.
- Whipping Cream: If you don't have any on hand, whole milk will work best. However, you can use whatever type you have in your kitchen.
- Storage: Keep any leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator. It's best eaten within a week.
- Freezing: This will freeze great! Let it cool completely, then, store in a freezer safe, covered container or storage bag. It will stay good for several months. When you are ready, you can reheat in the microwave or toaster.
- This recipe will feed about 4 adults. If desired, it can be doubled very easily.
