Chex Cereal Snack Mix- The classic crunchy, flavorful snack mix! It only takes about an hour to make and will feed a crowd.
I love this cereal mix and always have. Make it for your next party (small or big) or just as an option to make a snack homemade.
Ingredients Needed
- Chex Cereal: Rice, Corn and Wheat
- Pretzels
- Butter
- Seasoning salt
- Worcestershire sauce
Do I Have to Use the Brand "Chex"?
Go ahead and use your favorite brand or store equivalent of a corn/wheat/rice square or a gluten free version or any of them. They all work!
Add Ins & Flavor Ideas
We like to keep ours pretty basic. Just the cereal and 2 cups of pretzels. However, you can add in a whole bunch of add-ins. Stick with 2 cups of add-ins total. For example:
- bagel chips
- mini bread sticks
- small crackers (ex: Cheez its or Goldfish)
- mixed nuts
- spice it up with a little hot sauce
- add more/less seasoning salt
Cereal
I added 3 cups of each cereal flavor. But, you can go with any combination you wish. As long as it equals 9 cups total (of cereal), you will be good to go.
Pan Size
I use a flat rimmed baking sheet(see recipe card) for our mix. It's 17.9' x 12.9' x 1'. You can also use a large roasting pan.
